Hawaii Governor Neil Abercrombie(D) finds himself at odds with his state’s health director in a lawsuit over gay marriage.
Abercrombie, and the state’s health director have taken opposing positions in response to a federal lawsuit, filed by a gay couple, seeking equal protection under the law.
The health director is defending the state’s current law, while Abercrombie has filed a response to the suit indicating he cannot support current law, because it requires a state of “inequality.”
