The Democratic Governors Association is looking forward to a big fundraising haul this week in New York City.
Perhaps the DGA’s most well known governor – Andrew Cuomo – will be the main attraction for several closed door events scheduled to raise money for Democratic gubernatorial candidates around the country. 2012 will be a particularly difficult year for Democrats at the gubernatorial level. There are 11 races scheduled and a 12th is likely in Wisconsin.
This is a big event for the DGA, because it’s the first major fundraising effort attended by Governor Cuomo, who like California Governor Jerry Brown(D) rarely travels out of state.
