Less than a week after California Governor Jerry Brown(D) unveiled his budget plans for the coming year, the state’s controller has released a report that says the state’s revenue picture is even worse than what Brown is projecting.
It means deeper cuts may be necessary to balance the budget. Brown is calling for major tax increases as a means to bring the budget in line over the next five years.
