Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal(R) is facing some push back on plans he has to sell three state prisons to private operators to help balance the budget. The sale would raise about $86 million, but critics says they don’t like the proposed use of one time revenues to cover on-going Medicaid expenses.
The Jindal administration says the alternative is another $86 million in budget cuts no one wants either.
